Intellectual property

Materials made available through BeamSpark Claims Lab engagements, including playbooks, diagrams, and sample integration specifications, remain the property of BeamSpark Claims Lab or its licensors unless a written assignment states otherwise. Clients receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use deliverables for internal claims operations and affiliated underwriting support. You may not redistribute training artefacts to unrelated third parties, publish them as if they were your own original work, or use them to build a directly competing advisory catalogue. Open-source components referenced in documentation retain their respective licences. Where third-party models or vendor SDKs are incorporated, your use must comply with those upstream terms in addition to this agreement.

Service description

BeamSpark Claims Lab provides consulting and implementation support for machine learning deployment within insurance claims environments. Engagements may include architecture reviews, integration design workshops, governance templates, and rollout planning. Unless expressly stated in a statement of work, deliverables are advisory in nature and do not constitute legal, actuarial, or regulatory approval. You remain responsible for filings, model risk management sign-off, and fair treatment of policyholders. Services are performed remotely from the Republic of Korea unless otherwise scheduled, with on-site visits only when contractually agreed.

Client obligations

You agree to provide accurate information about systems, data flows, and regulatory constraints that affect delivery. You will nominate technical and operational counterparts with authority to make integration decisions. You must not request assistance that would facilitate unlawful discrimination, misrepresentation of claims outcomes to consumers, or circumvention of supervisory requirements. Access credentials you supply must comply with your internal security policy. Delays caused by unavailable subject-matter experts or incomplete environment access may extend timelines and may be treated as a change request under the governing statement of work.

Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement for material breach if the breaching party fails to cure within thirty (30) calendar days of written notice. You may also terminate for convenience subject to fees for work completed and non-cancellable third-party costs already incurred. We may suspend work if invoices remain unpaid beyond the period stated on the invoice. Upon termination, you must cease use of confidential templates except extracts embedded in your own internal architecture documents that cannot reasonably be removed, which may be retained under the confidentiality obligations below.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions (Republic of Korea) and other applicable law, BeamSpark Claims Lab’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to an engagement shall not exceed the fees paid to BeamSpark Claims Lab for that engagement during the six (6) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, except where such exclusion is unenforceable. Nothing in this agreement limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.

Governing law, disputes, and acceptance

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would refer to another jurisdiction. Courts in Seoul, Korea, shall have exclusive jurisdiction, provided that either party may seek interim injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect confidential information or intellectual property. Where the Framework Act on Consumers allows mandatory provisions for consumers, those provisions prevail over any inconsistent clause in this agreement only to the extent required. By submitting an inquiry, signing a proposal, or paying an invoice, you acknowledge that you have read this User Agreement and agree to be bound by its terms.
